Why a Global Education Guide?

I'm Danielle Chaussee, a Spanish teacher and the Global Education Achievement Certificate Coordinator at Oconomowoc High School in Oconomowoc, WI. The pages on this website reflect Global Education at Oconomowoc High School, including an inventory of tech tools, programs, and activities that are already in place in the Oconomowoc Area School District that address Global Education. Because service learning is a large component of raising awareness of global education in the OASD, I have also devoted a page on this site to service learning.

This guide is divided by the topics of Study, Teach, and Travel. Under each topic, I've listed resources that I use. For most, there's a link that will take you directly to the resource's website. This is a work on progress, so check back often to see updates!

Please feel free to contact me with any questions!

Why Global Education?

We are helping our students build 21st century skills, which will prepare them for life in a global society, working with people from around the world, and working in jobs that may not even exist at this moment. Among those skills are the ability to communicate with others and the awareness of other cultures.
