Escuela Normal Superior de Bucaramanga

Today was our first day of school! We met with the director of the school (ENSB), along with nine other teachers, to discuss the school's programs and possible projects that we might be able to work on together. Afterwards, the school held an after lunch assembly, where we were welcomed by the entire 11th grade student body. It was a little intimidating to stand before 240 students, but they were eager to ask us questions and I was reminded that high schoolers are the same everywhere- curious, funny, and friendly. Finally, we ended the day by observing two English classes. The students were exploring the theme of happiness via the song Price Tag. I really enjoyed watching this activity because, as my students can attest to, I like to use songs in class, too! Here's a video of one of the classes. :)
